5 SIDE EFFECTS OF KINDNESS ON YOUR WELL-BEING

Kindness is good for the soul but is also good for the heart and body.

KINDNESS MAKE US

1) happier

2) is good for the heart

3) slows down aging

4) improves relationships

5) is contagious

Kindness is multi-coloured. It exists in our hearts and in our minds every bit as much as it exists in our actions and behaviours.

The brain is the parent of all our happy tears, worst decisions, and kind acts. Acts of kindness produce warmth that in return produces oxytocin to protect the heart by lowering blood pressure.

Research showed that acts of kindness made these “feel-good” parts of people’s brains light up. There is almost literal evidence of a “warm glow,” that pleasant feeling we get from doing something nice for someone else.

Giving to others can be inherently rewarding, paying dividends in special currency of warm glows and feelings of happiness. Kindness creates ripples in the fabric of human relationships and society. Relationships are forged and existing ones strengthened with kindness.

Kindness is essential if we wish to lead lives of serenity and happiness. Happiness never decreases by being shared. Life is less stressful when we give with no expectation in return.

Kindness allows us to overcome our negative emotions, replacing them with far more positive ones. Not only will our relationships with others improve, but we will find over time that we have a far greater image of ourselves as well.

We need to be kind to ourselves too. When you hear that discouraging voice in your head, tell yourself something positive - you deserve kindness too!
